I have always been interested in the music industry in Japan. My dream is to become a creator, specializing in composing and arranging.
In Canada, I attended a music university and I also studied Japanese a little. During that time, I decided to aim for the music industry in Japan, so that is why I came to Japan. First, I studied Japanese extensively at a Japanese language school, and then enrolled at TSM. With the support of my teachers and with my background in music, I was able to blend right in without much difficulty.
I work part-time, utilizing my areas of specialty. For example, I teach English to children and I write background music using the piano. It is fun to get paid for doing what you love.
In one word, "Good!" There are many assignments that are connected closely with the music industry. It's very stimulating and I get very excited when I'm studying. Also, at the corporate projects and events hosted by TSM, I am able to meet professionals from the industry and gain a lot of work experience, so I'm having very fulfilling school life. I'm very thankful that I have so many opportunities at this school.
