I came to Japan to study music. I'm interested especially in the Japanese music scene, in which originality is highly prized. I wanted to learn many things about the music scene, so I decided to come to Japan.
Before coming to Japan, I had a music career in South Korea. During university, I was in a band with my friends from the university. We had a lot of fun as a band, and we performed live and appeared in radio shows. Then, I participated in the MBC Music Festival and the CBS Hymn Festival and won an award. I received many offers after that to sing at many places, and I was very happy that a lot of people listened to my music.
Living in Japan is very fun. At first, I had problems with some unfamiliar aspects of Japanese culture and customs, but now I'm used to it and I'm getting the most out of my school life. I am especially happy about making a lot of Japanese friends after I enrolled at the school. We get along wonderfully, and we eat out or go to gigs together all the time. Also, I work part-time and I have many friends from there, too. The other day, my colleague from work came to see me perform live. I felt very happy and thankful for it.
It is very enjoyable because I am studying what I love everyday. We have lectures as well as practice sessions using studios and go see in-school live performances. Everyday is full of music. It is one of my pleasure to see my friends perform live with my classmates.
