International Student Interviews
Why did you choose to study in Japan?

I want to become an IT engineer.

What led you to consider studying in Japan?

I wanted to study abroad after I graduated from high school in my home country. I researched a number of schools, and I found that Japan is the safest country in the world to live in, and Japan also has the latest IT technology. I was also interested in IT so that is why I decided to study in Japan. After that, I studied Japanese for a while in my home country, and studied for more than a year and a half at a language school in Fussa-city in Tokyo before entering TECH.C.

How is living in Japan?

Currently, I live in Ichikawa-city in Chiba with my friends. It is a little far from the school, but the rent is cheaper than in Tokyo, so it is good. I also work part-time, but it is very hard managing to work and study at the same time.
Living cost per month is about 120,000 yen. I work part-time and my parents send me money sometimes, so I have not had a lot of problems with money.

How is your school life? ?

School life is very enjoyable. I think it's because many international students from various countries study here, and because my classmates and teachers are very nice. Sometimes I tell my friends in my home country about how enjoyable it is to live in Japan. The teachers from the language school I used to attend were nice, and the teachers here are very nice too. I have never had any big problems here.
