Initially, I came to Japan to study Japanese language.
While I was enrolled in a university in Taiwan, I became interested in Japanese language, and I studied it in a language school. After I graduated from university, I decided to come to Japan because I wanted to speak Japanese more fluently. In order to learn Japanese culture and traditions, I thought the Kansai area would be the best area for me to be based, so I enrolled at OCA.
During the 6 months I was studying at a Japanese language school, I had a lot of friends from Taiwan so we went to visit many places together. I lived in the dormitory then, and I made dinner together with my dorm friends, so the cost of living was not expensive. Once I started to live on my own, the living costs went up, so I try various measures to save money. Now, I think I've found how to make ends meet.
In my class, there are 3 international students but I'm the only Taiwanese. I was worried about if my Japanese skills would be good enough for the class, but the International Center staff introduced me to a senior Taiwanese student, who taught me a lot of things. If I don't understand something, my Japanese classmates teach me in a very patient manner, so I have no worries now. School assignments are really interesting too, and I'm enjoying work production.
